Over 500 years ago, church leaders found it helpful to reemphasize what they referred to as “the priesthood of all believers.” It’s a churchy phrase that simply means that God calls all of us—and equips each of us—to participate in the work of Christ. Within our congregation are numerous opportunities to serve. We have ministries to children, youth, and adults. We have teams that take care of our building and grounds. We have musical groups and people focused on finances and budgeting. There are a number of teams that work to ensure everyone in our congregation receives abundant and appropriate care.
Please don’t feel like you need to be an expert to participate. Many of the people who make up our various teams and ministries began as novices who were eager to learn and help out.
