Paul Koenig

I started my journey in faith at First Congregational Church, in Whiting, Iowa.  I grew up in a church family that celebrated Jesus through worship and community fellowship.  This carried through my years in school, college and beyond as I sang in several church choirs in the Sioux City, Iowa area.  I met my wife Janet through mutual friends and teaching colleagues and discovered we were singing together in a community chorale.  Our marriage was blessed with two daughters, Aimee and Erika.  We lived many years in the Sioux City area, both of us school teachers, before moving to Omaha in 1996 to operate a Bed and Breakfast.  We met many wonderful people during those few years but the demands of the business took too much time away from our family and church life and we both ended up teaching again.  We joined Dundee Presbyterian Church in 2002 and I was looking forward to continuing teaching while getting involved in the life of this church.  I assumed the interim position of Minister of Music in January, 2003 and soon became aware that through my role as a worship leader that my faith grew ever stronger.  I was soon called to be the full-time Minister of Music and have experienced the love and support of this congregation throughout my tenure.  Janet and I have been blessed here and look forward to what God has in store for our future.
